Kanimozhi Movie Releasing on November 26
Director Sripathy Rangasamy's Kanimozhi, starring Jai and Shahzahn Padamsee in the lead, is all set to hit the screens on November 26.
Says Sripathy: "I hope the film lives up to the expectation of the audience. It is not a fantasy, but a realistic love story which is not formula-based. The story is simple and is based on the philosophy that when a person repeatedly dreams of something, his dreams become real."
The director, who has assisted Venkat Prabhu in his earlier ventures says that he is thankful to Sona and Siva the producers for believing in him and investing in live sound recording, hiring silent generators and cameras.
Sripathy also confesses that the film which was ready a few months back was delayed as they were waiting for Endhiran to hit the screens. He adds: "We wanted a big release and is all excited that we are likely to get a solo release on November 26" .
The shooting of the Jai-Shahzahn Padamsee starrer Kanimozhi was wrapped up sometime ago but the producers – T Shiva and Sona – decided to keep the film on hold. Enquiries in Kollywood revealed that the producers wanted the Endhiran fever to die down a bit so that their film Kanimozhi could get a good reception from the audiences.
The film is now slated for a release on November 26th, so that the Diwali releases would also be safely out of the way. The film is directed by Sripathi Rangasamy who had apprenticed under Venkat Prabhu.

Sona Heiden is brimming with hope that her maiden production venture ‘Kanimozhi’, which is releasing on November 26, will make it big in the box office.
“The film has everything a movie-lover would want. Director Sripathy Rangasamy has handled the script with ease and conviction. Jai and Shazhan Padamsee, the lead actors, have excelled in their roles,” she says.
Throwing more light, she says, “The story is laced with romance and at the same time will be realistic. Debutant Suresh Chakravarthy has come up with catchy tunes. The songs are foot-tapping and catchy.”
On his part, the debutant filmmaker, who worked with Venkat Prabhu in films like ‘Chennai 28’ and ‘Saroja’, says, “I feel it is a gift to work with producers like Sona and T Siva (of Amma Creations) in my first movie itself. The whole movie has been made in live sound and all my colleagues have given their best”.

The director says that he wanted to establish the fact that dreams can come true if they are dreamt with a pure heart, and if a person really tries to fulfill his dream it will surely become a reality at some point of time.With Sripathy having initially announced the release date as August 6, viewers across south India are already waiting in anticipation to watch the Jai and Shahzahn romance on screen. And the director is already having butterflies in his stomach as the release date approaches near. Sripathy Rangasamy signs off saying that his only hope is to meet the expectations of the movie-goers.
